Location: Quantico, Virginia, United States


Compensation: $90,000 to $95,000




Experience: Junior to Mid Level
Clearance: TS/SCI **** REQUIRED ****


Description/Duties:

VMware Administrator providing enterprise support of development, test, and production VMware environments for the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity. The customer is running VMware ESX with Virtual Center on 3 classified production networks. Customer networks are primarily Windows, with some systems running Solaris and RedHat. Customer also uses FogLight for monitoring of VMware environments. Flexible schedule/hours can be negotiated.


Responsibilities:


• Assist government team lead with day to day maintenance of all VMware environments (3 networks)


• Server VM deployments, assist in updates to Windows Server OS baseline


• VMware system upgrades/updates


• System health and status monitoring, assist in automation (using System Center Operations Manager)


Qualifications:


• Bachelors degree


• VMware operations and maintenance


• Architecture, configuration, and/or deployment experience with VMware ESX & VirtualCenter
Preferred Additional Skills:


• UNIX (Solaris), Linux (RedHat) System Administration


• Windows (Windows 2003/2008) System Administration


• System Center Configuration Manager (formerly SMS)


• Security+ Certification


• Microsoft Certifications


• VMware Certified Professional


• NetApp storage administration experience
