• Branch Manager - Detroit MI



    Location: Detroit MI area (Detroit area, Michigan, United States)
    Compensation; $65,000 to $70,000




    Company Brief:


    Well established manufacturer and distributor of hard parts and components serving the OE and aftermarket


    Compensation: $55 - $65K salary + commission + bonus, full benefits and relo package


    Requirements:


    * Proven ability to achieve sales & profitability plans


    * Operations management experience at either the parts store (jobber) or warehouse distribution (WD) level a must


    * Track record of increasing sales through improved penetration to existing accounts and development of new business


    * Must be willing to take ownership of sales performance and develop / execute the sales strategy for the branch


    * Account management / business development experience at the installer levels a must


    * Experience managing local fill rates, service levels, local delivery/outbound logistics and inventory management


    * Experience managing the daily operations and profitability of a parts distribution operation a must


    * Computer proficiency required (Microsoft Office Word, Excel)


    * Ability to relocate to the stated geographical area




    Description:


    * Effective, profitable operation of local branch facility


    * Establish objectives relating to sales performance and standards to meet corporate objectives


    * Provide training and guidance to both sales and operations personnel


    * Maintain contact with customers regarding sales and service (including sales responsibility for specific assigned accounts)


    * Develop, implement and monitor policies and procedures appropriate to the day-to-day operations


    * Meet or exceed local fill rates and service levels


    * Review and approve adequate plans for the control of planned outputs, labor efficiency, material handling, customer service and order entry efficiency


    * Define and recommend objectives in each area of the operation while developing specific short-term and long-term plans


    * Evaluate reports (sales, credit, inventory, etc.) and results in relation to established goals
