Job Description:
The candidate will be part of a dynamic Automation Design team that has developed an extensive framework using Mercury QTP. Key Word solutions and the ability to work on assignments and collaborate as a team are essential.
Required Skills:
o Extensive knowledge and experience in Mercury QTP and Mercury Quality Center
o Extensive experience in VBScript
o Knowledge and experience in VB language is highly desirable
o Strong white/black box testing skill and expertise
o Expert in QA methodology, process, tools and DBMS technologies
o Excellent oral and written communication skills
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
o The ability to balance competing tasks in a rapidly changing environment
o Agile, proactive yet seeks help when necessary
Responsibilities:
o Develop effective test plans in a timely and efficient manner for all areas of the product
o Work with development and other QA team members to evaluate product functionality and business rules while recommending improvements
o Design, develop, write and execute test cases during system integration, user acceptance and regression testing phases of product development
o Identify and document software defects during program evaluation and testing
o Write easy-to-understand defect reports, test case steps and expected result descriptions using a defect tracking system
o Design, write, document and maintain test scripts using a framework
o Provide expertise in designing and building automation frameworks
o Research new technologies, develop cutting-edge automation and provide product enhancements and/or recommendations when necessary.
o Abide by and promote quality assurance standards, processes, and controls
o Perform other tasks as assigned
