• Surgical Solutions Clinical Consultant

    Location: Mississauga - GTA, Ontario, Canada

    Compensation: $55,000 to $60,000



    The Role

    The Surgical Solutions Clinical Consultant reports to the Director Corporate Services and is responsible for marketing and sales of surgical reusable operating room linen and systems to health care professionals, institutions and individuals. This individual will be an expert in all surgical linen lines, processing, selection and usage according to CSA and ORNAC Standards.

    The successful candidate will develop and maintain contact with health care professionals to sell the company’s products, prepare quotations, make presentations and provide consultative services to health care individuals on innovative surgical supply programs. Additional responsibilities include preparation of weekly reports on sales calls and activities, and monthly sales reports and attendance at conferences and exhibits to promote the company’s products and services and to provide information to interested parties.

    Responsibilities:

    •Lead and champion product trials and reviews; prepare costing analysis and sales proposals

    •Make recommendation in determining pack contents and quantities for trials/start-up of new customers

    •Provide technical information and guidance to existing and potential customers & internal staff regarding surgical linen information, quality, product selection and usage

    •Interview customers to gain knowledge of new procedures implemented in the OR’s and the surgical linen requirements or changes to facilitate these procedures

    •Participate in surgical linen committee meetings

    •Maintain and update product knowledge of all products brought into the hospital in order to assist with any questions or concerns.


    Skills and Qualifications:

    1. Registered Nurse would be considered an asset

    2. Valid Ontario Driver’s License and use of personal vehicle required

    3. A self starter and self motivator with a strong drive to succeed

    4. A university degree is preferred; Min. 4 years outside surgical sales or nursing experience

    5. Computer literate with excellent written communication skills

    6. Ability to relate to senior level and surgical nurse clients

    7. The ability to develop and maintain client contacts

    8. Analytical skills to assess the best product for the institutional need

    9. Ability to exercise sound judgment in:
