Order & Position Details

Newly created position in the Orlando area. Local candidates strongly preferred, there is no relocation assistance available for this position.

Candidates MUST have experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS).

We are looking for a seasoned Software Configuration Manager who will be responsible for not only configuration management but also all build and release duties for all environments.


Job functions:

1. Dev, test, and production.

2. Supervises the quality and health of builds and releases between quality assurance and development teams.

3. Oversees all build processes across integrated environments and provides complete and correct builds on time.

4. Responsible for producing software product releases when applicable.

5. Merges and maintains multiple branches of code for product lines.

6. Produces release notes for the features fixed and/or added.


This person will not be doing any coding but will need to have the ability to read architecture and network infrastructure docs and make suggestions when necessary. The day to day duties will include supervising all code checkouts by development, ensuring that the dev, test, and production environments all match up, supervise all build and release actions between test and development. Document all activities and templates as necessary and other duties.


PositionRequirements:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

2. At least 5 years experience as Build Manager or similar role working in Microsoft .NET and/or Java environments.

3. Must have Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) experience.

4. Strong understanding of n-tier architecture

5. Experienced in debugging and troubleshooting builds

6. Experience with SQL Server, Visual Studio and/or

7. Working knowledge of T-SQL and/or PL/SQL.

8. Must be highly self-motivated and possess a very strong attention to detail.

9. Ability to lead the development of build best practices in complex environments based on supplied specified guidelines

10. Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder. (No relocation)
